Job Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and arrange for repairs when necessary.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Motivate staff and maintain a positive work environment.
- Address any staff issues or conflicts promptly.
Customer Service
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer complaints or issues.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Promote a customer-friendly environment.
Financial Management
- Monitor and control operating costs, budgets, and expenses.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including daily cash reports.
- Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
Inventory and Supply Management
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
Marketing and Promotions
- Implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract customers.
- Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and adjust as necessary.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute campaigns.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain health and safety records.
- Implement and enforce food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, inventory, and staff performance.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to higher management.
- Document any incidents, accidents, or customer complaints.
Training and Development
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices.
- Implement new processes and technologies to improve operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QSR Manager or in a similar managerial role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of financial management and budgeting.
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English. Knowledge of Sinhala and Tamil is a plus.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with restaurant management software.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the food service industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
